Christian White Rare Books has grown to become one of the leading rare booksellers in the UK.  Our major specialities are in manuscripts (late medieval up to the present day) alongside printed books from the handpress period, annotated books, and association copies from all phases of our history - books with interesting provenance. These interests are reflected in our varied offerings in literature, economics, politics and philosophy, history and the sciences and we offer high spots in all these areas. Locally we exhibit at fairs across northern England, including the January and September York bookfairs. In the interests of making the business carbon neutral we have recently acquired 4 acres of land in North Yorkshire where we are planting trees as a long-term carbon sink.
